  • Campground: Lake Pleasant Regional Park
  • Location: Lake Pleasant, AZ (18 mi NW of Phoenix)
  • WBCCI discount: No
  • Rally park: Probably not; however, it's a good place to remain overnight on the way
  • to San Diego or Old Mexico.
  • special: Many of the 140 developed sites overlook the lake. A place of scenic beauty that provides an opportunity for swimming in a fresh water lake. Extreme high temperatures and lack of any shade will tax your air conditioner in July, August, and September.

  • Rally park: For the more adventurous, possibly. Reservations not accepted. No hookups, no cell service. Can be very hot in summer.

  • Rally park: I think so, but not everybody would be so into hiking as we are. Maybe as a nice stopover for a caravan!
  • What's special: Its natural beauty, its serenity, and the Anasazi ruins, which are better preserved than the ones at Mesa Verde!
